2012 Color of the Year: Think Clementines

A few weeks ago, Kit wrote a post on the light fashion palette of spring, and the 2012 color of the year was announced as Tangerine Tango.  Tangerines may be a sweet and refreshing winter fruit, but you don’t have to say goodbye after this season because we’ll be seeing more of this tangy orange all year long–from full on outfits and as chic accents (try white on white with a slim orange belt). Vivacious, refreshing and bold, it’s the perfect color to usher us into the new year. For matching monochromatic  jewel tones, think padparadscha. And for jewelry pairing, when in doubt, choose golden tones which add an extra bit of elegance!

How do you plan on wearing the color? Check out Vogue’s gallery of tangerine zest down the runway! And as always, have a fab Tuesday!
