Whether it’s you, your niece or daughter going to the prom at the end of May, it’s a big deal—and 1928 is prepared to help you accomplish a winning, glamorous look with the perfect jewelry and accessories! After you slip on your dress, put on that smokey makeup and style your hair with the perfect loose curls, or chic updo, it’s time to top it off with earrings, a bracelet and/or a necklace! Inspired by Seventeen’s article on Celeb Dress Trends for Prom, I put together a few pieces that I thought would look amazing with any cocktail dress or gown you pick. Don’t forget to apply the nail polish and a subtle shimmer lotion on the neckline if you choose not to overlay with a necklace!

Below, Elizabeth Banks again makes it on fashion A-list at the Restoration Hardware Spring 2012 launch in LA wearing a bright citrus piece by Andrew Gn. She is hitting all the right notes wearing the color of the year, and rocking her outfit with a pair of golden crescent hoops earrings that go perfectly well with her tangerine dress! Fab Find Friday: Fashion Fix at the Oscars 2012

Besides all the wins and nominations, we all know where the real show happened—on the red carpet! The 84th Annual Academy Awards came and went with some exciting fashion drama with a few celebs wearing pieces straight from the runway. Without further ado, here were the top four show-stoppers of the night:

Emma Stone made it again to the best-dressed list by wearing a gorgeous, fiery Giambattista Valli ballgown accessorized with sparkly red drop earrings and a Louis Vuitton white gold bracelet bangle. Get the look with our sparkly aurora borealis beaded drop earrings!

Funny girl Tina Fey who presented an award for the night turns heads with her navy blue Carolina Herrerra gown and her dashing sapphire Bulgari chandelier earrings…and of course you won’t be passing us by without seeing a similar style from 1928! Tuesday Must-Have: St. Nicholas Cross Pendant Necklace

If you’re looking for something unique + edgy + vintage, you’ll love this St. Nicholas Cross Pendant Necklace adored by True Blood actress Kristin Bauer. The necklace is part of The Vatican Library Collection, which contains a lot of history and detail to every design. The cross combines an Eastern Orthodox Cross and a Budded Cross. It’s different from an ordinary cross because there are two beams: the top beam represents the plaque bearing Pontius Pilate’s inscription “INRI” and the lower beam represents a footrest. This design began appearing in Christian art in the 6th century and is being replicated by our talented designers at 1928.
