Designers can get their inspiration from a building, wheels of a bicycle, a lantern, fruit, nature, to the shape of an antique mirror, it’s endless! Or maybe seeing the leaves of fall inspired you to wear more orange (that’s me icon smileLast Free Earrings Tuesday: Inspiration from Everyday Objects ).

Free Jewelry: Dancing With The Stars Premiere!

Did anyone watch yesterday’s Dancing With The Stars premiere?! This season’s cast is a fun and interesting mix, I must say, and it really piqued my curiosity. Bristol Palin?  Others featured: NBA basketball player Rick Fox, actor David Hasselhoff, Florence Henderson (mom from Brady Brunch)!

Right before the premiere, a few of the stars and professional dancers stopped by our pre-event suite and chose some jewelry from 1928! Here are some photos:

Dancer Anna Trebunskaya

Don’t the earrings looking stunning on Anna? This season, she dances with football quarterback Kurt Warner. Some bio: she’s from Russia and a professional ballroom and Latin dancer.

Bristol looks a bit uncomfortable posing here with dancer Mark Ballas, but we gotta give her some credit for participating in the show with no experience–in dancing or being a celeb.

I’m loving the leaf “Y” necklace she chose from 1928.

Dancer Karina Smirnoff

Karina Smirnoff is a Ukranian American professional ballroom dancer. If you remember, Karina danced with Mario Lopez on the third season. She also fell in love with our emerald-jeweled pen necklace she’s holding!

Free Earrings: How Do You Like to Glam Up Your Little Black Dress?

Source: TheAge.com/au

When Coco Chanel introduced the notion of ‘The Little Black Dress,’ she started a much-needed fashion revolution:

“What she invented is more a ‘principe’, an idea, the fact that a dress can be used in different situations and can be changed by the addition of accessories,” said Paris-based fashion historian, teacher and author Florence Muller.

(Visit TheAge.com for the full article on the LBD.) Until the 1920′s, women had to wear heavy, decorative clothes that they often needed help with putting on and would change frequently for different occasions throughout the day. Imagine having to do that today!

The Little Black Dress is usually something:

1) Simple, so you can be flexible with the type of jewelry and accessories.

2) Timeless, so you can wear it in and out of every season.

3)  Shorter in length, so you can dress it up or down.

So here’s a little question for you.

How do you like to glam up your little black dress?

With classy crystal jewelry? Silver? Gold? Black? Bronze? Copper? A pair of rebellious  white boots like the model pictured above? With a pop of color? Or just simple and monochromatic?

You will be automatically entered in a random drawing to win the beautiful pair of earrings below! Ends Thursday.
