Marvel Entertainment Partners with 1928 Jewelry Co.

Superhero style goes high fashion.

We all love a bit of nostalgia. With The Avengers coming soon in theaters, the buzz hasn’t quieted down one bit and we haven’t either! In a recent and surprising move, 1928 Jewelry Co. (under JewelM) and Marvel Entertainment has partnered together to create jewelry and novelty items for both men and women with the classic Marvel characters including Spider-Man, Thor, Captain America and Iron Man. The Avengers made its original debut in comic book form in the 1960s, which is around the time 1928 jewelry was established.

Marvel Entertainment is best known for their comic book superheroes, and after 70 years of designing merchandise mainly for the male demographic, there has been a major push into the women’s apparel, cosmetics and accessories market that began in 2009—we hope you are as excited as we are!

Fashion on the Go for Green: Gearing Up for a Lush Spring

I don’t know a bout you, but I can never have too much green in my wardrobe. It’s one of those colors that I will never get bored of! And with St Patty’s Day coming up on the 17th, it’s a good excuse to go all out with the lovely color. 1928 has no green reservations and with so many styles to choose from, the hardest part is narrowing it down! If you recall Kit’s post yesterday, fashion has definitely made a retro turn for good this year as we’ve seen designers like Prada, Marc Jacobs and Karl Lagerfeld re-visit the past with their own interpretations. And in just over a week from now, Jason Wu for Target will be hitting stores and online (Feb 5 – can’t wait!). Of course you can expect to see splashes of modern retro played out in all his lovely designs.

Because of the ever-so-popular mixed metal concept (it goes with pretty much everything), we wanted to use the same concept but go with something other than gold and silver.
