Planning for Oscar Sunday

March 3rd, 2010 § 0

Hi all – I hope everyone had a FAB weekend! I know I did – I was running errands like crazy for my upcoming annual Oscar Party this Sunday! Of course I’ll be wearing my favorite 1928 Pink Champagne Marie Antoinette Necklace and Smokey Quartz & Pearl Cluster Ring. Sigh, dreamy. I don’t want overkill with a bracelet and earrings, one must make a statement without saying a word!

Griffy will be sporting the 1928 Fabulous Filigree Burnished Copper Stretch Bracelet as a “fetching” collar! It will go so well with his black and tan coat; he’ll be the best-dressed boy in the room!

So, what did everyone get during the yummy clearance sale on 1928.com? I bought the statement necklace that was in the email, to die! After all turquoise is the color for 2010 - I am set and at a steal! I love 1928!

Who do you think will win this Oscar Sunday? George or Jeff? Meryl or Sandra (Sandy for sure!) and what does everyone think about TEN FILMS being nominated this year? Sigh, only meant 5 more for me to see in order to vote properly! I don’t know but one thing’s for sure – Kathryn Bigelow will be this year’s Best Director – how can she not?!

Maltese Onyx & Gold BroochWhomever ends up winning, do we care? I mean all we really care about is that amazing red-carpet arrival! (Dear weather Gods – please don’t rain on our parade!) You know I will be right there “fashion policing” everyone! How could she wear THOSE shoes with that gown? How could he not have worn a 1928 Maltese Onyx & Gold Brooch as his tie clip? Yes I said HE – you know who could pull this amazing look off? Johnny Depp, Mickey Rourke – trend-setting MEN! Love it!

Have an amazing week ladies and I can’t wait to hear what you wore and what you thought about Oscar Sunday. Don’t forget to check out www.1928.com for some gorge “so then, so now” pieces!
