As any good Los Angeleno who’s involved in the beautiful world of independent fashion knows she must venture out to the latest launch events for new designers. And the women of 1928 Jewelry are no exeception.

I’ve become addicted to vintage fashion, modern design and of course, jewelry. And when Ken Feldman of StyleIt.TV told me that Kelly Nishimoto was launching her new line – My Cute Booty - I was there.

Los Angeles is full of amazing, talented designers but Kelly breaks the mold. The My Cute Booty Line is actually that – CUTE. The dress are swanky, well made and hug in only the right places. Same with the pants. I love the huge satin ribbon ties and the ruffled pockets.

I also found out that Kelly’s sister is Meiko, the first artist signed to the new MySpace Records label. I downloaded Meiko’s album in iTunes a few weeks ago and can’t get enough of it. So check that out too.
