A new year, a new way to wear neutrals! The Fall/Winter season in the world of fashion was centered primarily on a concept of minimalism and neutral tones. Clean-cut, tailored lines and the idea that “less is more” were all over the fashion runways and the city streets. It is a look that I am a huge fan of, as I see it being classic and constant, not trendy and ever changing. I stocked my closet with neutral colors and kept my accessorizing to a minimum, with only a dash of metallics to keep it fun.
But my favorite thing about this trend is that I don’t have to bid farewell to it just yet! We will continue seeing neutrals well into the spring season, only styled in a whole new way! The idea is to keep these simple silhouettes but make them more feminine and flirty by adding a pop of color and some sparkle. Instead of heavy boots and an army green trench, you can liven up your neutrals with turquoise jewelry, elegant mixed metals, garden party floral finds, and everything in between.
