InStyle‘s must-have summer accessories for 2010 features Kate Hudson’s sunglasses, but my eyes were instantly glued to her earrings! She’s definitely got the summer trend down with turquoise (fashion color of the year) Moroccan-style earrings, a big-brim sun hat and some nice black shades. Kate Hudson’s known for her Bohemian style which goes perfectly well with her free-spirited personality. In this photo of her, it’s the earrings that give her style that Bohemian kick.
1928's Marrakesh Turquoise Blue Medallion Earrings
And like I always blog about in our fab find posts, yes, we’ve got a similar piece! Kate’s earrings looks like it totally belongs in our Marrakesh Collection. These attractive Moroccan medallion earrings feature heavily antiqued brass accompanied by a soft turquoise blue enameling at the center. And it’s got that exotic tribal appeal that will probably get you stares or compliments from strangers (like I’ve been getting)!

1928 Jewelry creates 2028 Jewelry for Macy’s Department Stores. We went behind the scenes and talked to Kim Lamse, the 2028 Jewelry designer & brand manager. We discussed what inspires her pieces. Her answer: Everyday Beauty.
It’s here, it’s here, it’s here! We’ve waited – impatiently – and our favorite collections has arrived. The necklace features rose gold tone metal and salmon, magenta and fuchsia faceted beads strung together in a bib shape. There is a beautiful, tiny little hand enameled butterfly in the corner also.
Best of all, the necklace is only $55.00! How is that for thrifty, fabulous recessionista find?
1. Where did you get that necklace! (Usually as they assault me in some public spot to get a better look).
2. Who designed that/Who came up with the idea for that piece?
Well, the answer lies with someone behind the scenes here at 1928; our inspirations and creative designs come from a talented jewelry design team lead by an amazing man named David Alverson.
David Alverson, is the VP of Product Development at 1928 Jewelry. 30 years ago, we were lucky enough to steal him away from beautiful French brands such Lanvin, Balmain & Yves St. Laurent.
